For over a century, its sweet and savoury delights have made it a leading institution in this erudite city. The venue for memorable banquets, such as the one for Monicelli’s film “My Friends”, it has always attracted all social classes and became legendary for the way it used to serve pastries and hot croissants early in the morning from the trade entrance in the side street, where long queues used to form. Cosy and supremely elegant, with just a few little tables under the arcades, it has preserved most of its original, now beautifully restored furniture.
