Inextricably bound to the nearby Savoy residence of Agliè, and a supplier of the Royal household and of the Duke of Genoa, its illustrious guests have included Queen Margherita of Savoy and the beautiful Duchess of Pistoia who came here, with the excuse of buying the biscuits named after her, to enjoy the delights of romantic encounters. Gozzano’s favourite venue, it is an original gem of the early twentieth century, and is run by the fourth generation of the same family, who preserve some of the great Piedmontese pastry recipes of Turin.
