Vaulted ceilings frescoed by a pupil of Brugnoli, adorned with Swiss and Savoy crests, Liberty-style furniture in solid walnut, with marble and glass all from the late-nineteenth and early-twentieth centuries. Founded by Giacomo Schucani of Sent, in the Grisons, it is now run by the fifth generation. An institution in Perugia, it gave its recipe for "Bignè alla Pompadour" to Franz Sacher, in exchange for that of the famous Torte. It put on large-scale catering for great receptions after the war and delighted Bacchelli, Malaparte, von Karajan and King Gustav of Sweden. A paradise of delicacies and chocolate.
