Three exquisite little rooms just by Piazza Navona, with a bar, small tables, banquettes, chairs, statues, pier mirrors and ornaments in a magical mix of Baroque, Empire and Art Nouveau. And tables in the open with a magnificent view of Santa Maria della Pace. Rino Barillari, the paparazzo, recalls that in about 1960 it was a favourite haunt of painters like Schifano, Testa, Angeli, and Fioroni of the Piazza del Popolo School and, in the early 1980s, it was here that Transavanguardia, with the critic Achille Bonito Oliva and the painters Cucchi, Clemente, and Paladino, was born. Fashionable and three generations.
