After concerts at the Teatro Comunale, Maestro Rubinstein always wanted the table at the centre of the room. Montale sought refuge here when he was in Florence. It was President Luigi Einaudi’s favourite. In 1966, Zeffirelli and Richard Burton with Taylor would come every evening when filming their touching work on the Florence floods. Run by the Sabatini family until 1978, it remains exactly as it was created by the architect Stigler, who used the furnishings from a deconsecrated church. The pride of Florentine cuisine, it offers a cultural and gastronomic experience like no other.
