A historic hotel and staging post on the frontier of the Kingdom of the Two Sicilies, it is still run by the fifth generation of the same family that opened it as a post hotel in the sixteenth-century Palazzo Seneca and that furnished it with precious furniture from the ancient residence. A pioneer of top-class hospitality and frequented by the aristocrats of Umbria, legends such as Carnera, actors and directors like Gassman and Antonioni, and politicians like Moro have all been here. Perfectly restored after the 1997 earthquake, it still has the original rooms and much of the furnishings. Twenty-four suites and top-level cuisine.
